TREE SURGERY
Here at Barges Branches, we offer a full range of Arboricultural services, whether domestic or commercial we have you covered. All work is completed to British Standard 3998: We pride ourselves on a quality high standard of work. If the trees are in a Conservation area or protected by a TPO ( Tree preservation order ) then consent from the local planning authority will need to be obtained prior to starting work. Here at Barges Branches were more than happy to help you with this process and can apply for the necessary consent if required
GROUND MAINTENANCE
Your premises represents how you are as a company and how you do things. A first impression is an important one. We aim to understand your needs, visions, and most importantly budget in regards to ongoing maintenance.
We operate with a professional manner, and always have the client as our number one priority. Latest technology allows equipment such as battery-powered machinery to be used in noise-sensitive areas, minimising disturbance to your workforce.
STUMP GRINDING
Once felled the tree’s stump is left at ground level. Here at Barges Branches, we have the equipment to Remove these, no matter what size. With tight access often an issue we have pedestrian grinders small enough to bring through tight side passages even houses. We also offer Eco Plugging. Sometimes a more cost-saving option to stump grinding, Eco Plugs are a highly effective tree stump killer treatment. Each plug is drilled into the stump releasing a herbicide, to achieve a 95-100% reduction in re-growth. Eco Plugs have no effect on surrounding vegetation or trees.
HEDGE CUTTING
Whether you have a small native hedge line surrounding your property or a huge conifer hedge we here at Barges Branches can cater to your needs. Commercial or domestic, our attention to detail never drops. We can offer monthly or yearly trimming to keep your hedges looking as good as they should do.

Barges Branches is a family-run tree surgery company-owned by Tom Barge. Tom has studied and worked in the field of Arboriculture since leaving school at 16. Studying Forestry and Arboriculture at Moulton College set Tom well on his way, working for a Local company before using his experience to set up Barges Branches. With now over 9 years of experience, Tom prides himself on completing all jobs to the highest standard, making sure to always go above and beyond for his clients.
